Luxury Vehicles: The 2007 Jaguar XK is the latest model from the formidable luxury vehicle maker. It is Mr. Ian Callum's first design for Jaguar. Callum also designed Aston Martin's sporty DB7. The XK comes in
either a coupe or a convertible. The rear-wheel drive offers a six-speed automatic transmission, with shift paddles on the steering column, and it is equipped with either a 4.2-liter V-8 with 300 horsepower or a supercharged 4.2-liter V-8 with 420 horsepower.
The all-aluminum-body vehicle delivers with a smooth ride and very acceptable acceleration. It can go fromzero to 60 mph in six seconds and runs a quarter-mile in just over 15 seconds. In pursuit of ultimate safety, rollover bars do deploy immediately if needed.
Additionally, the XK gets up to 19 miles per gallon on premium fuel. The interior is plush and the ride in the front seat is very comfortable. The car's length is 189 inches; the width is 82 inches; and its height is 52 inches.
The base price of the Jaguar XK coupe begins at around $76,000, and the convertible's starting price is around $82,000. However, there are plenty of optional goodies one may add to boost the price. After all, it is a Jaguar.
