Photo Courtesy of Charitybuzz.comJohn Varvatos, one of the hottest menswear designers in America, has put his personal stamp on a new icon of American style — the Chrysler 300S — in support of his favorite charity. The one-of-a-kind vehicle is being auctioned off to benefit Stuart House, an organization dedicated to serving and protecting victims of childhood abuse. Varvatos and Chrysler collaborated on the custom car project for the worthy cause with online charity auction house Charitybuzz.com, offering bidders worldwide the chance to win the stylish wheels.
Varvatos spent several days in the Chrysler design studio with the carmaker’s team to create the unique vehicle. “Just like [Chrysler] looks at my clothes from a different point of view, I look at their cars with a different point of view,” Varvatos notes. Valued at $75,000, the car’s unique features include custom Varvatos hallmarks on the chassis and waffle weave leather accents on the interior along with swathes of sumptuous black leather. Other designer touches include Mopar 20-inch wheels in Satin Carbon finish.
Fans can bid on the Chrysler and a number of other items selected by Varvatos to benefit Stuart House through March 20 at CharityBuzz.com. Other choice lots in the online auction include five nights at the Four Seasons Resort Maui; a visit to the set of Mad Men; a $10,000 shopping spree with Varvatos in NYC; a round of golf with Alice Cooper in Phoenix; a guitar autographed by Pink Floyd, and more. One hundred percent of the net proceeds will go to the charity.
