Mercedes-Benz’s flagship S-Class will have a starting MSRP of $92,900 in the 2014 model year, a price/value improvement of 2.8 percent compared to the 2013 model. The 2014 S-Class is all new and includes luxury amenities, such as heated armrests and hot stone seating massage, first-class rear-seat luxury, a Burmester sound system, and patented Air-Balance (which provides ionized air purification). The S-Class also boasts Magic Body Control, which is an intelligent suspension system that sees the road ahead and automatically adjusts the shock absorption.

Additionally, new standard equipment in the 2014 model includes more horsepower, a rearview camera, a Panorama Sunroof, all-LED lighting throughout the entire vehicle (inside and out), keyless start, and Magic Vision Control.

"The S-Class is the embodiment of the four words which have served as the inspiration for our company since its inception, ‘The Best or Nothing,’” said Steve Cannon, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA. "Everytime we introduce a new generation, we have the opportunity to deliver more power, greater efficiency and unmatched safety, backed with an improved value proposition. Not only is the new S-Class the most intelligent car on the road, it’s also a smart choice."
Continuing Mercedes-Benz’s tradition of safety, the new S-Class includes Intelligent Drive, a menu of over 30 standard and optional active and passive safety technologies, including Attention Assist and Night View Assist Plus with human and animal detection.

The Driver Assistance Package includes Distronic Plus with Steering Assist (a radar-based cruise control system with semi-autonomous steering inputs) and Pre-Safe Brake (which autonomously brakes the vehicle up to 31 mph with or without driver input and can partially mitigate accidents up to 45 mph). Other safety features include Pre-Safe Plus (a rear-facing radar that senses possible rear collisions and prepares the vehicle for a possible secondary incident into an active intersection), BAS Plus with Cross Traffic Assist (which reads cross-traffic encounters with stereoscopic cameras and adds appropriate brake assistance to prevent an incident in an active intersection), and a one-sided braking feature called Active Lane Keeping Assist and Active Blind Spot Protection.

The high-performance S63 AMG 4Matic will be priced at $139,500. Pricing on the new model now includes standard 4Matic all-wheel drive and 577 horsepower.
