Southern Florida Marinas: Southern Florida could easily be named the capital of yachting, as it is flanked by waterways from the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico. Ranging from Ft. Lauderdale to the northern tip of Puerto Rico, the marinas and resorts of LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels is a network of decadence rarely experienced.

LXR affiliated luxury hotels and resorts are found along the East Coast and the West Coast, the Caribbean Islands, Florida and New York City. The desire of many is the indulgence of the most-privileged minority- yachtsmen, jetsetters and world travelers.

Here is a six-pack of Southern Florida's most popular marinas.

Bahia Mar Beach Resort & Yachting Center

The Bahia Mar Beach Resort & Yachting Center is the host of the most prestigious Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show The floating dock has 250 slips, with 100 slips capable of holding megayachts up to 250 feet. This is a full-service marina with repair and fuel stations. Shopping, restaurants, and nightclubs are all within walking distance. Additionally, there are chartered fishing fleets, sightseeing boats, and water-sports adventures aplenty.

The 44-acre mixed-used luxury development has oceanfront rooms and suites and three restaurants. The resort has a fitness center and a spa, four tennis courts and an outdoor swimming pool. There is a concierge desk, a children's center, a business center, and a pet center. Several championship golf courses are located near the resort too!

David, There are probably several nice marinas near golf courses. I will continue to look. Also, I do not belong to the yacht club at HH; do you? I know that Goran does; and, a membership in that club may be a good idea for getting into yacht clubs. THOUGHTS? Gloria
