Megayacht Hauling Service: This unique-purpose ship by Dockside Yacht Transport is both a luxury liner and a mover of yachts. The Yacht Express is 687.5 feet long that is capable of carrying more than 30 megayachts onboard at one time. The luxury-hull hauler's maiden voyage to Genoa, Italy, from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., carried more than 30 megayachts with an estimated value around $154 million.

The Yacht Express contains unique technology that enables it to easily transport yachts of any size. The special-built vessel has a semi-submersible dock bay that allows various-size ships to be safely floated on and off as cargo. It is the firm's fourth ship with this capability.

"Having Yacht Express calling on the South Pacific, now on a regular basis, greatly increases our ability to carry more yachts. This in turn will boost the super-yacht industry within both Australia and New Zealand," said Jason Roberts of Aurora Global Logistics, the exclusive agent for DYT in Australia.

The massive Yacht Express has a snappy service speed of 18 knots. The boat's power can cut down travel time by as much as 33 percent, whereas a transatlantic crossing that generally takes 15 days can be done in 10 days on the YE. Additionally, the Yacht Express is 130 feet longer than DYT's three other semi-submersible carriers.

The megayacht mover's prime cruiser, the Yacht Express, also features complimentary cabins, an atrium with a lounge bar, a swimming pool, a restaurant, a cinema room, an exercise area, and a conference room. The Yacht Express is beginning sound more and more like a luxury cruiser that also transports yachts onboard. The five-star amenity package is provided for crewmembers traveling with their ships and guests.

Dockside Yacht Transport, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ft. Lauderdale-based Docksides Ltd., is a worldwide leader in the transporting of motor and sailing yachts, having moved more than 9,000 deluxe vessels since its start up in 1987.
