Boating Courses: International Yachtmaster Training helps both yacht owners and crewmembers become knowledgeable, seaworthy yachtsmen. IYT provides certified recreational and professional training in over 20 countries through its partner schools located around the world. The U.S Coast Guard, the MCA, and the DNV approve IYT's certification programs. There is a worldwide shortage of qualified personnel for mega-yachts with the manufacturing of luxury yachts at an all-time high. So, if there is an urge to make a career change or transition, IYT also offers placement services to graduating students.

The Fort Lauderdale-based organization provides programs where students can make training a vacation experience too. IYT's travel agents can arrange vacation-training packages in various exotic locations such as Greece, Croatia, or the Caribbean Islands. Choose from over 20 countries. Recreational courses are available in both sailing and motor yachts. The modular courses are conveniently offered in full-time, weekends, and night sessions. The entire program is comprised of 22 educational modules.

Docking a boat or being capable of navigating it into a tight slip are not issues to be taken lightly. In order to grasp the seriousness under which such matters are viewed, talk to an insurance agent who specializes in yachts. IYT's U.S. training program provides a five-day, onboard course that thoroughly covers all boat-handling issues.

International Yachtmaster Training offers training for all levels of yachtsmen. Read the numerous testimonials offered by appreciative graduating students. Imagine being the skipper of your own bareboat voyage, captain!
