According to Charter World, Chris-Craft took its newest luxury yacht tender Corsair 32 to the 2012 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, which ended yesterday. The vessel is apparently a good choice for anyone wanting to go on an overnight adventure or even just spend a few hours cruising around the bay, making it pretty versatile.
Like most boats out there today, you can customize many features, from custom exterior paint colors to what type of cabinetry you want within. If you go with the galley package, you get a stove and a microwave added to the salon, which already has a refrigerator. The cabin sleeps two and comes with a flat-screen TV (which is expected nowadays), and the head has a shower and full countertops. Out on the deck there is a teak cockpit table that hides under the step-through under the seat fore of the motor hatch, prefect to pull out for any entertaining needs. The sunpad allows for sunbathing and socializing, while the swim platform makes water activities easy and fun.
My favorite feature has to be the skylight, which runs the entire length of the forward dock and allows plenty of natural light to stream in, whether it be by moon or sun. I imagine it's a beautiful sight at night, with the sky filled with stars unimpeded by city lights.
The description of Steve Jobs’ custom-built yacht, Venus, by biographer Walter Issacson as being “sleek and minimalist,” in his book, appears to be concise and precise based on this video.

Yesterday saw the opening of the 53rd Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, which has brought in some of the world's best designers and architects, and plenty of wealthy boaters, brokers, experts, and suppliers. According to Super Yachts, more than three million square feet of ground is being covered by the event, which is filled with some of the most exciting yachts cruising today, including Diamonds Are Forever and Kismet.
The luxury yachting event (which runs until October 29) features an endless list of superyachts just waiting to be drooled over, as well as plenty of exhibitors and visitors. Among the grand vessels will be Cakewalk and Lady Linda, two big names that will surely draw in quite the crowd. Make sure you take a jacket to fight the chilly winds - which may reach 35 miles per hour - so you can properly experience the display of boats without having to chatter your teeth. The gloomy weather is thanks to Hurricane Sandy, which will stay a few miles off the coast of Florida but will surely bring the boat show lots of wind and rain throughout the weekend.
Embracing our nautical desires has always been a good idea in theory; however, rough waters and little deck space can leave us less experienced sailors feeling a bit uneasy. This is where Sunreef Yachts comes in, as they have employed young and...

The 22nd Monaco Yacht Show wrapped up this past Saturday and was filled with huge vessels that could cause average yachts to sink in shame. Widely considered to be one of the most prestigious events in its class, the event featured a record of six luxury megayachts with an average length of 263 feet, according to Astaire Magazine.
The biggest yacht on display at the show was Athena, a 295-foot-long sailing yacht. Athena is one of the world's largest three-mastered schooners and is currently on sale for around $95 million courtesy of the Monaco-based Y.CO. Also of mention is the 290-foot Nirvana, which made its world debut at the Yacht Show and features a 3D cinema, and two vivariums that house a chameleon, water dragons, bearded lizards and turtles.
Large-scale yachts don't seem to be a fading trend, as it was reported that there have been 88 built that are at least 288 feet in length. 19 additional boats are being currently built, including the super secretive Project Azzam, which is set to become the world's biggest yacht at 590 feet, beating out the current title-holder Roman Abramovich's 531-foot Eclipse yacht. Planned for delivery in 2013, Azzam is still hiding in Germany's Lurssen yard.
Nowadays megayachts seem to be the epitome of the age-old argument of "Mine's bigger than yours." If you want a yacht that will impress, it has to be longer than any others and you pretty much have to include a helipad, cinema, and gym. It's easy, just think of the perks that come with a mansion and find a way to get those on your boat.
We always tell you about all about the various luxury yachts that are out there, from limited edition models custom-made for affluent clients to huge vessels stretching over 700 feet long. While those are all great to read about and own, sometimes...
If you're wealthy enough you can have a luxury speed boat built exclusively for you, customized just the way you like it. Kenny Schachter, London-based art dealer and writer, is one of the more recent to get everything he always wanted out of a boat thanks to world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid. However, this 8-metre motor "Z-Boat" will be available in a series of 12 limited edition models for €375,000 each (around $484,800), so you have a chance to snatch one for yourself.
The Z-Boat's prototype is a matte black made from fiberglass and carbon fibre, and a geometric design that's very asymmetrical. While the black certainly gives in a dangerous feel, there are apparently plans to release the boats in other colors, including blue, white, and grey. The Z-Boat's speed hasn't been announced yet but Schachter has said that it would be "as high a spec as customers dare to go and is safe to maintain."
In a recent press release by Schachter and the French firm Shoreteam (who is building the boat), it was stated that "“the idea is to think of vessels or vehicles as highly individualistic expressions of art, architecture and design, reflecting the edge of what is possible using the most advanced means.”You Might Like: Pair Your Luxury Yacht With a Slick Speed Boat for Under 500k
