Feadship unveiled their very first luxury yacht of 2016 last weekend at a ceremony in Isle of Kaag, Holland. Named Vanish, the 217-foot vessel is totally custom-made and features a “free-standing staircase flanked by a glass wall over three decks, an ingenious extendable balcony for the owner’s stateroom and a highly innovative transom design.”

The yacht’s owners were very active in the project, offering tons of preferences that were then carried out by Feadship and Eidsgaard Design. A few standout details include a varnished teak platform that slides out from underneath the starboard companionway, watersports options, a full-height atrium, and helipads on both the sun deck aft and bow area.

The transom’s design is especially clever. The clients didn’t want to feel intimidated by the yacht’s hull while approaching by tender, so Feadship managed to make the backside look friendlier than other vessels of similar size.

Able to accommodate a crew of 17, Vanish also has owner’s quarters with a full deck and lounge area, four guest suits, a VIP stateroom that can be converted into two additional suites, a lower deck beach club, outdoor cinema, six-person Jacuzzi, and a spa with a sauna, massage and hairdressing rooms.
