Italian yacht designer Gabriele Teruzzi has towering ambitions for his latest yacht concept – literally. His concept includes a futuristically-designed sundeck that sails above a 492-foot superyacht, called Shaddai, according to The Daily Mail. The one-of-a-kind owner’s cabin sits 125 feet above the water and juts out from the rear of ship, allowing sunbathers to kiss the sky with views never before achieved on a yacht. It features a 1,130-foot terrace with a bar, dining area, and infinity pool. Teruzzi was inspired by power: “From there he can reach the feeling of a higher power, surrounded by the immensity of the sea and sky, reaching the clouds where everything reflects his place in the world: at the top.”

Befitting such an exceptional boat is its top-of-the line finishes, of course. It will include materials and textiles from top Italian fashion houses, and the lower decks house another infinity pool with a glass floor, as well as an aquarium. As if that weren’t enough, loungers on the aft deck can relax to the sound of water cascading from the infinity pool above it. Teruzzi referenced the Tower of Babel, the Pyramids in Egypt and modern skyscrapers when discussing his plans, which were also inspired by contemporary architecture and the natural human desire to ascend from the ground. This superyacht is truly revolutionary, but there’s just one problem: he hasn’t found a builder brave enough to attempt to construct it yet.
