Celebrity Real Estate News: Properties that have proper names like people or pets generally also have accompanying high price tags! According to the L.A. Times, Candy Spelling recently listed her Holmby Hills mansion, the Manor, at $150 million, making it the most expensive residential listing in the U.S. It supplants the Fleur de Lys, a property in the same neighborhood, which is for sale at $125 million.

Los Angeles County now boasts the two highest residential listings in the U.S. A nearby mansion, the Fleur de Lys, is listed at $125 million. The property has been on the market since spring 2007. Joyce Rey of Coldwell Banker Previews International is the listing agent for this listing.

The Fleur de Lys sets on five acres of land with 54,000 square feet of living space, including 12 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms. According to NME News, super-size diva extraordinaire Mariah Carey and actor/singer Nick Cannon recently submitted a purchase offer. Maybe they will check out the Manor and submit an offer there, too?

There are always others wanting a handout. The haves and have nots. I'm sure she gives to charity, also. Nothing is wrong with someone being able to own a 125 mil home. I think it's great. Go for it! It's the give me mentality in this country. I want what you have, you have to much I want some of it. Though one worked hard for the money, what they own and the other just sits back, crys and wants to take it. Give me, I want it, I deserve it, but I don't want to work for it. Get over it!

Seriously folks what's it all for...there's people starving, the economy has but so many more at risk or in an actual homeless state and you pay this much for a home !! I'm not hating or anything but really I'd be more respectful and humbled if somene would donate that kinda of $$$ to a much more worthy cause. Say like building homes for people who have lost theirs or never had one. Do you know how many people just need "a" home ? Food pantries could be stocked for a looong time. It just seems so self indulgent to spend that kind of money for a home, I mean a reall nice home doesn't have to cost that much. In order to afford that you must live in a pretty nice home already. Just my opinion !!!
