Mothership Hooks Sports Fishing Lovers for EPYC

Luxury Sports Fishing News: The splash caused by the countdown to the launching of the East Pacific Yacht Club's mothership, the Pacific Provider, is creating a new wave in the waters of the affluent-living club community. Some may speculate that this is a travel/fractional membership club with a new twist, as memberships are limited and there is an initial charge along with a yearly fee. However, sage sports fishermen and lovers of yacht voyaging alike will view this outfit as the proverbial horse of a different color or one of those drummers who marches to their own beat. The club operates on a premise that delivers a promise that is nothing short of a heavenly experience for fishers, yachters, and those who just love being around water as much as an otter.

EPYC has put together a stupendous program that is tour de force. The concept is so intriguing that the company is going to be featured on an upcoming episode of CNBC's Wealth Channel, according to Rosy DeSimone, EPYC's director of member services.

"For the savvy sports fisherman who is used to traveling to far away destinations and fishing on a charter basis -- his greatest attraction is that the mothership is movable and can follow the fish," said Ms. DeSimone.

A Country Club Afloat

For members flying in to fish, the Pacific Provider is a luxury-latent flotel with a helicopter pad, two 35-foot game boats, and docking space for yachts. Other recreational watercrafts and diving gear also are onboard. Up to 12 guests can be accommodated in the six lavish suites situated on the main deck with space for up 8 additional guests in the overflow staterooms. Additionally, there is a dining room, a bar, and a Jacuzzi that holds eight most comfortably. A full range of exercise equipment is found in the gym on the lower deck.

Gastronomically speaking, a world-class chef plans and prepares all meals, and the wine cellar boasts a collection exceeding 600 bottles. However, it is being able be at the best fishing spot during its greatest moment that is reeling members in hook, line, and sinker. Complete boat services are offered as well for members who opt to cruise their own yacht.

Ms. DeSimone added, "For the guy with his own yacht, without question, the greatest attraction to our program is the delivery of support services when and where they are needed. Fueling privileges, food and provisioning, mechanical and engineering support are there if the range of the trip is expanded or if a member's ship needs repairs."

Magdalena Bay, Puerto Vallarta, Costa Rica, and Panama are a few of the destinations members will be sports fishing over the next year. Members receive up to 28 reserved days annually on the mothership, the Pacific Provider. A total of 50 memberships are available and being offered in three phases. The first phase is sold out. Membership requires a low six-figure membership fee along with an annual fee. The original membership fee is fully refundable.

EPYC in the Sports Fishing Community

The venerable seaworthy founders of East Pacific Yacht Club Tom Ellsworth and Capt. Rich Austin are highly regarded industry veterans with many years of experience in their respective fields of expertise. The firm is extremely active in sports fishing events and will be participating in the Avalon Billfish Classic (Sept. 7-9), the Riviera Zane Grey Invitational Marlin Tournament in Santa Catalina Island (Sept. 14-17), and the Mikelson Classic Marlin Tournament (Sept. 21-23). EPYC will serve as the events' start boat and tournament control for all four competitions at the Riviera Zane Grey Invitational. Additionally, EPYC will be the official start boat for the Bisbee Black and Blue Marlin Tournament in Cabo San Lucas in October.

There is an upcoming open house for the Pacific Provider in San Diego, and the official debut is September in Santa Catalina Islands. The mother lode of luxury motherships is now boarding! Visit the company's Web site at www.epyc.com.

To stay aon the water and replenish supplies, have a good meal, or just stretch out while avoiding messy harbors and time consuming inlets makes it all worth it. Great idea I bet it will eplode the luxury yachting market!
