Luxury Yachts: Australian luxury yacht builder Oceanfast has just announced its new 157-ft. (48 meter) semi-custom superyacht, due for completion in July at its shipyard in Western Australia. Offered at $22 million, the sleek fiberglass hull Oceanfast 48 has a top speed of 16 knots and 4,000 nautical mile range at a cruising speed of 12 knots via twin diesel engines, making it an ideal craft for long range exploring. The ship can accommodate 10 guests and 10 crew. A well-situated engine room separates the four guest cabins from an aft lazarette designed for diving and leisure activities on the external swim platform, while the crew is housed forward.
A teak lined aft deck leads into a full beam saloon surrounded by huge windows offering panoramic ocean views. The large teak lined external deck can be used for intimate dining or a larger party in combination with an indoor-outdoor lounge area connected via fully opening bi-fold doors. A large teak lined deck compliments the upper deck outdoor entertainment area as well with a large raised spa, sunpad and bar area located forward, all protected by a mix of fixed and removable overhead shade coverings. Finally, an elevated lounge suite in the forward wheelhouse allows guests to share in the adventure of piloting the yacht.
