 Yacht Charters: The Atlantica is among the featured yachts for charter by International Yacht Charters. It is a beautiful 135-footer that is being refitted to pack even more wallop into its onboard amenities for the 2009-10 Caribbean charter season. The yacht is quite utile when it comes to satisfying water-sports enthusiasts in search of ultimate chartering experiences.
The refitting of the Donald Starkey-designed ship, which originally launched in 2000, sleeps 12 in five cabins with additional accommodations for a crew of eight, including a captain, a private chef, and a certified diving expert.
The deck of the Atlantica is comparable to a full-service dive center. The 135-footer is fully insured for scuba diving, as at least one member of the crew is a certified master diver and another is a certified instructor. A new tender, a 37-for Intrepid, has also been ordered up to further enhance the joys of scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, and other water-related activities.
Florida-based shipbuilder Christensen Yachts is at the helm of this mega-yacht refitting. The sky lounge bar has been enlarged, and the onboard entertainment system features new televisions throughout and new equipment by Kaleidoscape and Creston. There are new appliances throughout, from the saloon to the kitchen to the staterooms; and all the cabinetry has been refurbished. There are new water-sports toys for children, as well as new windsurfing equipment, and more deck space for sunning and lounging have been added.
