Rare Roger Moore Rolexes in Christie's Auction
Two extremely rare and desired Rolex watches worn by James Bond actor Sir Roger Moore will be offered at Christie's Important Watches sale in Geneva on November 14. The Rolex Submariner was worn by Moore in 1973's Live and Let Die, his first Bond film. This luxury piece, which doubled as one of Bond's most famous gadgets, does not actually tell the time because of the modifications needed for the film, but has nonetheless been estimated at up to $450,000. The Sea-Dweller, which does show the time, is more practical but comes with no bidding estimate. Regardless, because of its provenance we expect it to bring in six figures as well. All proceeds from the sale will be given to UNICEF.
