Convicted Con Scott Rothstein's Luxury Toys Go to Auction

Items previously owned by disgraced attorney Scott Rothstein, who is facing a 100-year prison sentence for defrauding investors for more than $1 billion, will be sold at an auction on June 3 at the Broward County Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale. The auction, which is being conducted by the VSE Corporation and Rick Levin & Associates on behalf of the U.S. Department of Treasury, will sell off cars, boats, and other high-end merchandise seized from Rothstein.

An 87-foot Warren Yacht, a 55-foot SeaRay Dancer, and a 33-foot Aquariva Super are the yachts to be auctioned. There is a bevy of luxury automobiles up for sale, including a 2010 Lamborghini LP-670SV, a 2008 Bugatti Veyron, a 2009 Bentley Continental GTC, a 2008 Ferrari 430 Spyder, and a 2007 Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Proceeds of the auction will be put into the Asset Forfeiture Funds of the U.S. Treasury for restitution to victims of Rothstein's crimes.

The general public can view the cars at the Secure-All of Florida, in Miami, on May 10 and May 26. The yachts and other watercraft are available for pre-auction viewing at National Liquidators, in Ft. Lauderdale, on May 26.
