A wonderful lineup of Warbirds is planned for the 2009 Geneseo Airshow, featuring aircraft of the US Navy's efforts in WWII. On schedule you will be admiring; Pitts Special Acrobatic Team, Bucker Jungmeister, B-25 Miss Hap,
P-51,the Manfred Radius Sailplane act, the Rob Holland Ultimate Acrobatic act amongst many others. Aircraft appearing will include; SB2C-5 Helldiver, Japanese VAL, four F4U Corsair, two TBM Avenger, F4F Wildcat,F6F Hellcat, Sea Fury, PBY Catalina and the Grumman Albatross.
The 1941 Aircraft Group was established in 1994 by an initial group of 250 aviation enthusiasts. The primary goal of the Group was to continue with the traditional air show based held on the turf strip at the Geneseo airport and to highlight the aircraft of the past with a focus on World War II aviation.
The first Warbird Gathering air show was held in September 1994. Each year the show continued to grow in aircraft participation and spectators. This year's Geneseo Air Show will be held in July at the Geneseo airport.
