Meadowood has partnered with the Napa Valley Film Festival to host an innovative Artists-in-Residence program at the inaugural festival this November 9-13, 2011. The Directors of the feature films in the Dramatic Competition will be staying with us at Meadowood along with an industry veteran who will serve as Mentor and Leader of the Artists-in-Residence program. Over the course of several days, the directors will be meeting with one another to discuss their current work, next projects in development, and overall career goals and direction; and one or more of these talented filmmakers will be present at each of our afternoon Wine Receptions throughout the five days of the festival giving you an opportunity to inquire first-hand about their work.

A prestigious jury will present the Best Dramatic Feature to the winning filmmaker at the festival's Awards Ceremony on Sunday evening. Audience members will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorites, with Audience Awards also being presented. There will also be Juried and Audience Awards for Documentary and Short Films.
