It's tea for two, and two for tea at The St. Regis Atlanta where the tradition of Afternoon Tea is a daily affair.
Started by Caroline Astor, mother of St. Regis founder John Jacob Astor IV, Afternoon Tea is an enduring tradition found in each St. Regis address worldwide. Guests of The St. Regis Atlanta are invited to partake in fine teas paired with savory petite sandwiches, freshly baked scones, pastries and petit fours, all presented with impeccable service by signature St. Regis Butlers in tuxedos and white gloves.
Tailored to the season, teas and food pairings vary by month with notable themes including a whimsical Mad Hatter Tea, charitable In the Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Tea, lyrical Poetry Tea, style-savvy Fashion Tea and festive Holiday Teas. A wide selection of teas are available hot, as well as cool in summer months.
Locals and visitors alike enjoy the best of southern hospitality at Atlanta's only in-town resort located in elegant Buckhead. The AAA Five Diamond St. Regis Atlanta is a modern reinterpretation of a grand Southern estate featuring lofty ceilings, bespoke art work, and plush French Art Deco furnishings which set the scene for a refined afternoon and while imparting the feeling that you're in a grand private home.
Afternoon Tea is served daily from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. $40 for adults; $44 for Celebration Tea which includes a glass of sparkling wine; $22 for children 12 and under.
FEBRUARY: Poetry Tea - Celebrate with friends and loved ones during a signature Afternoon Tea experience tailored to express the greatest of all virtues. Guests will have the opportunity to practice their prose when they are presented with printed poetry verses to exchange. Menu highlights include: Almond Chicken Salad "Scrolls", Asparagus "Quills", asparagus tips wrapped in goat cheese and prosciutto, Lemon Raspberry Heart Tarts, and Passion Fruit Parfaits.
MARCH: Blooming Tea - Sip exquisite, handcrafted teas which bloom in your cup, a beautiful ritual which celebrates the arrival of spring. Featuring a luminous range of hues-soft pink, coral, apricot, ivory, and more-these display teas are sure to enchant visually, as well as provide a delicate enjoyable infusion.
APRIL: Legacy Tea - Join the St. Regis Atlanta for an Afternoon Tea experience honoring The St. Regis heritage and the legacy of the respected Astor family. Marking the occasion of the hotel's third anniversary, this tea will celebrate the elegance and supreme service which is synonymous with the St. Regis name.
MAY: Mad Hatter's Tea - Don't be late for this very important date! Throughout the month of May, join The St. Regis Atlanta for a whimsical Afternoon Tea inspired by the classic children's tale, Alice in Wonderland. Guests are encouraged to wear fabulous hats and enjoy a selection of fun and fanciful bites.
JUNE: Go Red Tea - In support of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Initiative, The St. Regis Atlanta hosts the Go Red Afternoon Tea throughout the month of June. Enjoy a selection of heart-healthy food and teas with a portion of proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association.
JULY: Go Team USA Tea - Celebrate the 4th of July and the start of the 2012 Olympic Games with an all-American Afternoon Tea featuring an assortment of hot and cold teas paired with patriotic red, white and blue selections of sweet and savory delicacies.
Afternoon Tea is priced $40 for adults and $44 for Celebration Tea which includes a glass of sparkling wine. Children's Tea is priced $22 for ages 12 and under, excluding Tea with Santa offered in December only.
