The concept of Fashion Fringe was created in 2003 by Colin McDowell MBE in partnership with IMG Fashion - a global solutions provider, connecting fashions key constituents and corporate brands using IMG's global resources, influence and expertise.
For 2010 the challenge is to reinvent the sense of adventure in London fashion. Fashion Fringe at Covent Garden is looking for cutting edge, iconoclastic talent in design and creativity to continue the tradition of Vivienne Westwood, Hussein Chalayan and the late Alexander McQueen.
To help us do this, we are proud to say that we have been joined as Chair, for the next two years, by John Galliano, unquestionable the most original and talismanic fashion designer in the world today. An inspiration to designers at all levels john will be helping us to find and sustain a young talent worthy to join the list of extreme talents which made London the most exciting fashion capital of all.
