Festival of Voices is Tasmania's premier winter festival, celebrating vocalists and the power of song. Now in its 8th year, the Festival stages events for more than 10,000 singers and audience members, and showcases an increasingly wide range of interpretation of the voice, including choir and ensemble singing, spoken word, cabaret, debate, poetry, storytelling and hip-hop. Due to its rising popularity, the 2012 Festival will now be held over ten days and will include a range of innovative new events along with old favorites such as FireSong, the ever-popular bonfire and big-sing which for the first time will open the Festival.
