Two alligators found in Dayton home
Two alligators were found inside an alleged drug house in Dayton, Ohio, authorities said Monday.
U.S. marshals discovered the gators while serving a search warrant for a man allegedly linked to cocaine trafficking, WHIO-TV in Dayton reported. It is illegal to keep alligators as pets in the city.
Devon Nelms, who is wanted for a probation violation in connection with cocaine trafficking, was not home but officers allege they found cocaine, rifles and a brass knuckle stun gun inside.
Animal experts said finding exotic pets in alleged drug houses is common.
People think they can guard their property with some of these animals,
said local exotic animal expert Tim Harrison.
