CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 25 (UPI)

Bobcats' Wallace has concussion symptoms

Charlotte Bobcats leading scorer Gerald Wallace is experiencing post-concussion symptoms related to a head injury he suffered last week.

With additional tests ahead this week, it was unknown when Wallace might return to the Bobcats' lineup.

Wallace was knocked unconscious when inadvertently hit in the head by Sacramento's Mikki Moore during a game last Friday. He was taken to a hospital for tests but released.

However, Wallace later told team doctors he had headaches, drowsiness and soreness of the neck and jaw. Additional neurological tests have been ordered. Doctors said they wouldn't have a timetable for Wallace's return until after they studied those results.

Wallace, a forward, has averaged a team-high 20.9 points while getting 6.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists a game for Charlotte, which is 19-37 this season.
