COL BKB: Marquette 85, Villanova 75

Dominic James scored 25 points Monday to lead the 21st-ranked Marquette Golden Eagles to an 85-75 victory over the Villanova Wildcats.

Lazar Hayward added 15 points and nine rebounds for Marquette (21-6, 11-5 Big East), which has won five straight games. Jerel McNeal had 14 points for the Golden Eagles.

Scottie Reynolds scored 14 points for Villanova (17-10, 7-8) and Dante Cunningham had 13 points and 11 rebounds.

The Wildcats committed 23 turnovers and hit on only two of 16 three-point tries as their three-game winning streak ended.
