SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 25 (UPI)

NBA: San Antonio 89, Atlanta 74

Tim Duncan had 23 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots Monday to lead the San Antonio Spurs to an 89-74 win over the Atlanta Hawks.

The Spurs scored only five points in the first quarter but recovered to post their sixth straight victory.

Tony Parker had 15 points and nine assists and Manu Ginobili scored 13 points. The Spurs trailed by 11 in the first half but took the lead with a dominating third quarter.

Joe Johnson led Atlanta with 17 points, but also committed six of his team's 22 turnovers, as the Hawks suffered their eighth loss in nine games.

Zaza Pachulia had 14 points and Al Horford had 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Hawks.

The Spurs set new franchise lows for points and field goals in a period. Ginobili's three-pointer just inside the 10-minute mark was San Antonio's only field goal in the opening 12 minutes.
