Boy missing in north central Texas

Rescue workers searched the area around Eagle Mountain Lake in Texas for a boy who disappeared in rough waters, officials said.

A 16-year-old boy from Tarrant County in north-central Texas vanished Monday when his canoe capsized on Eagle Mountain Lake.

KXAS-TV, Dallas, said crews searched the area again Tuesday. Officials called the search off Monday night when it got dark.

KRLD-AM, Dallas, said a 15-year-old girl who was with the boy made it safely to shore and notified authorities.

Neither of the teenagers wore a life jacket.
