MUSEUM DESCRIPTION:
Tate is a family of galleries and operates on four sites in different parts of Britain.
The Tate galleries house the national collection of British art from the sixteenth century to the present day, including the Turner Bequest, and the national collection of international modern art.
Tate Britain is the national gallery of British art. Located in London, it is one of the family of four Tate galleries which display selections from the Tate Collection.
Admission:
Admission to Tate Britain is free, but donations from visitors are needed to support the gallery's work. You can also help by visiting the Tate Britain Shop, Café and Restaurant, or by becoming a Tate Member.
