Featured Exhibits:
"Barcelona and Modernity: Gaudí to Dalí" presents the first comprehensive survey of the diverse and innovative works of Barcelona's artists, architects, and designers between 1888 and 1939. Featuring more than 300 works, this exhibition offers new insights into the art movements that advanced the city's quest for modernity and confirmed it as the primary center of radical intellectual, political, and cultural activities in Spain. The exhibition catalogue is available in the Met Store.

"Venice and the Islamic World, 828-1797" focuses on the influence of ideas from the Near East on the artistic, technological, and intellectual culture of Venice over a 1,000-year period. In conjunction with this exhibition, a special installation of drawings and prints is also on view. "Europe and the Islamic World: Prints, Drawings, and Books" is a selection of works on paper that explores the related theme of Europe's fascination with the peoples, costume, design, and customs of Muslim lands.
