A new cocktail bar about to open in Los Angeles will include a $500 milkshake on its menu, reports the CN Daily Traveler.
The super-priced milkshake, which will be called the Velvet Goldmine, makes its debut at The Powder Room later this month. While the recipe for it is still a work in progress, it is known that the concoction will include premium spirits, Belgian chocolate, and a crystal ring by Swarovski.
The owners of The Powder Room admit that its Velvet Goldmine is “lush and over-the-top.” It is meant to top off special occasions. It is a milkshake and a prize. The lounge also will serve up an array of boozy milkshakes made by the award-winning bartender, Adrian Briggs.
Other milkshakes spiked with top-shelf alcohol sans jewelry will be priced at $13 each. Are you lovin' it?
….The Powder Room also [will offer] other appealing alternatives that are much easier on the wallet. Spiked milkshakes like the Steel Magnolia (red velvet vodka blended with red velvet cake, cream cheese frosting, and vanilla ice cream), and the Adam's Apple (Jack Daniels blended with cinammon-caramelized apples, nutmeg, and vanilla ice cream), will only set you back $13 each.
