Apparently, someone in charge of the New York Marathon has officially decided to get real and cancel this year’s running. However, with the announcement coming forth just two days before the event, approximately 40,000 of the 47,000 runners that registered for the race are in New York this weekend. George Hirsch, chairman of the Road Runners, told the New York Times that there is a desire to still something this Sunday, but nothing definite has been worked out. |
