Something is percolating in Seattle ... and it is not Starbucks.
The Hollywood Reporter posts that Global Baristas, an investment group led by actor Patrick Dempsey, star of ABC TV’s Grey's Anatomy, acquired Tully’s, a Seattle-based coffee-chain, paid $9.15 million, in a bankruptcy auction, on Friday.
However, the transaction is not official until a court hearing on January 11, according to report by the AP.
Global Baristas, Dempsey's group, bid $9.15 million for Tully's, according to ABC News. Dempsey had announced his intention to buy Tully's in late December. The Grey's Anatomy actor now says he plans to be more involved with managing the Seattle chain.
