Remains of an ancient temple estimated to be about 2,750 years old have been discovered, per a report from Yahoo! News.
A team of Israel archeologists has found a temple that is described as being a home to a ritual cult. It also has been reported that a “cache of sacred vessels” were found.
The temple dates back to the Iron Age, according to an analysis by the Israel government, as the remains resemble other religious buildings from that era.
Because of the number of historical sites and artifacts in and near Jerusalem, the Israeli government typically conducts similar archeological excavation efforts before beginning construction on major infrastructure projects.
