The ultimate flight of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner is on hold until further notice from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). A few items will need to be double-checked to ensure that the electric system and the quality-control measures used in the manufacturing of the ultra-luxurious are up to snuff.
The review is a “top priority” by the federal government regulatory agency, as recent problems with the electrical system of the aircraft prompted the additional analysis.
Boeing expressed its confidence that the project will be delivered in a report from the Wall Street Journal.
In its own statement, Boeing declared its confidence in "the design and performance of the 787," adding that it welcomes "the opportunity to conduct this joint review."
