Sales in the month of May for Cadillac’s newest models, the ATS and the XTS, played a significant role in the U.S. automaker’s increase in sales for the month, the Lansing State Journal reports.
It is the largest sales gain reported by GM’s luxury division since 1976. The company reports an overall three-percent increase in sales for the month of May over last years’ report at this time. Top executives of Cadillac were excited and confident in reporting the surge in sales of its two newest models.
“Cadillac is back,” said Bob Ferguson, vice president, Global Cadillac. “Our growth is product-driven, new luxury vehicles with dramatic design and performance drawing new customers to showrooms.”
