A report by FoxNews.com reveals a sneak peek at Cadillac’s luxury-electric hybrid vehicle has been released. Details on the electric vehicle, which is reported by various sources to be a luxury version of the Chevrolet Volt, have been kept to a minimum.
With a recent influx in sales, sales of the Volt tripled in 2012, but still fell substantially short of the company’s goal to sell 45,000 in the USA. The U.S. automaker sold 23,461 in 2012. Stay tuned.
The front-wheel-drive ELR will use a version of the Volt’s plug-in hybrid drivetrain, but any updates to the system for the Cadillac have yet to be revealed. The $39,995 Volt has a maximum output of 149 hp and an all-electric range of 38 miles.
