The Cadillac ELR is being introduced as the luxury carmaker’s entry as an electric vehicle. The automaker is reporting that the two-door coupe has a total range of more than 300 miles.
However, since the two-door coupe does have a tailpipe and a petroleum-powered engine as well, the EV is actually a hybrid and not a totally electric vehicle.
Cadillac is hopeful that luxury-oriented consumers will turn to the manufacturer to experience the full-luxury service treatment that only an established brand can provide versus a fledgling firm with high hopes.
…. The ELR features full wood and leather upholstery along with a suite of high tech features including Cadillac CUE with an 8-inch, full color capacitive touch-screen for navigation and its traditional LED front and rear lighting. It also includes Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert and 24-hour concierge service for queries.
