A recent study by a leading real estate consultancy firm reveals that ultra-high-end automobiles are a better investment than real estate, according to a story written by Carla Passino and posted on Forbes.com.
The findings stem from a report by London-based real estate consultants Knight Frank. The best of the best classic cars, such as Ferraris, Bugattis, Lamborghinis, and Bentleys offered a 28% return on investment compared to prime real estate in London, which showed an increase in value of just 7%. The vehicles outperformed the deluxe properties by 400%.
Other passion investments, such as fine wines, coins, stamps, and jewelry also have performed well over the past 20 years, averaging a 174% increase versus a 135% rise in London’s high-end real estate.
….Classic cars led the pack with a staggering 430% rise in value, outpacing even gold, which was by far the best-performing mainstream asset with a 273% increase in value since 2003.
