Concierge medicine is an alternative for health-care service that is predicted to increase in popularity for patients able to afford it, reports The Wall Street Journal.
It is reported that fees for the boutique-medical experience average about $1,800 annually. The non-refundable fee provides patients some perks, such as 24/7 access to a doctor, same-day appointments, and more personalized service.
Concierge medicine’s perceived advantages will only grow in the coming years, experts say, as the traditional health-care system becomes even more strained.
