Consumer Reports magazine recommended buying all of the eight of the Lexus models in its annual quality rankings of automotive brands. Toyota was the top brand, as Japanese brands took the top seven positions.
CR changed its format for rankings. Individual brands were broken out in the publication’s effort to make its rankings more accommodating to consumers.
We feel this is more in line with how people shop,” Rik Paul, the magazine’s automotive editor, said in an interview before the rankings were released yesterday at the National Press Club in Washington.
