A denizen of renowned Italian designers are uniting to ensure that the Milan Fashion Week retains its clout as one of Europe’s largest shows.
There are concerns that the shows in London, Paris, and New York are catching up. So, the style-centric community wants to ensure that its status as a forerunner of the fashion world remains vogue.
When Burberry hosted its menswear fashion show in London after a decade of debuting it in Milan, the Italian designers united to make a fashion statement of sorts. Prada’s CEO Patrizio Bertelli summed the situation best in a recent story posted by Bloomberg.
“….Everyone should have more respect for Italy’s fashion industry because without it “international fashion wouldn’t be as strong,” Bertelli said.
