The 2014 Cadillac CTS will be the first automobile to have GM’s new twin-turbocharged V6 engine, reports Fox News. The CTS also will be the automaker’s first car to feature an eight-speed automatic transmission.
It could be the car for all buyers, as Cadillac says that the CTS will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in less than five seconds and delver fuel-efficiency of 25 mpg on highways. The 2014 CTS will make its first public appearance at the New York Auto Show next week. Wait … there’s more.
While the turbo six-cylinder will only be available on tire-burning rear-wheel-drive CTS models, both an entry level 272 hp turbo four-cylinder and naturally aspirated 321 hp version of the 3.6-liter V6 will be offered with rear or all-wheel-drive when the yet to be revealed car goes on sale this fall.
