Google Avoids $2B Tax Bill Funneling Profits through Bermuda

Don’t hate the players for working it.

 If you build a system that enables it, companies are going to take it.  That is the gist of Matt Brittin’s unapologetic response on Britain’s MPs on the Public Accounts Committee that claim that the high-tech giants ... and other firms ... have been “immorally” minimizing their tax bills.

The company reportedly uses complex tax schemes called the Double Irish and Dutch Sandwich, which take large royalty payments from international subsidiaries and pay tax in low rate regimes.
