A bar in Seattle, Washington, has banned Google Glass in its establishment even before the product is released.

Dave Meinert, the owner of the 5 Point Café, posted his tongue-in-cheek message on Facebook and received more than 400 likes and 150 comments so far.  Privacy for patrons is the reasoning behind the post. However, many of the follow-up comments posted were critical of the barkeeper’s’ position. Meinert went on to clarify that patrons can bring Google Glass to the bar, but they cannot use it.   

Meinert added that part of the post was a joke "to be funny on Facebook and get a reaction", but part of it was serious because the bar doesn't let people film other people or "take photos unwanted of other people in the bar because it's kind of a private place people go".
