Google's Chromebook Pixel Goes Upscale with Touchscreen

The Google Chromebooks were a good idea but not that great of a product, especially the picture.

The new Chromebook Pixel by Google focused on that issue and have turned out a laptop with better resolution than the Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Pro, according to a report by NBC News. However, with its new features and upgrades, the price of the Chromebook Pixel is $1,299 (Wi-Fi only) and $1,499 (LTE version).    

The design is very much inspired by Apple: The undecorated aluminum chassis, black display bezel, and backlit black keys are distinctly reminiscent of the MacBook Pro line. Even the colorful LED strip on the lid, meant to suggest the Chrome icon, may in some users evoke memories of Apple's original rainbow logo.
