The target market for this luxury concept by Hyundai is "gadget lover meets gear-head," or as colse to that as possible.
The Hyundai Genesis R-Spec is loaded with extras and a5.0-liter V-8 engine with 429 horsepower and 376 pound- feet of torque. The car also features an 8-spped automatic transmission and does zero to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds.
The base price of the Genesis R-Spec is around $48,000. While it holds up with the tech and the performance stats, the reviewer for Bloomberg.com deemed the sedan somewhat lackluster in style points. However, that sentiment could also be disseminated on other luxury cars when compared to a Jaguar XF sedan.
Of course not all is perfect. Hyundai has been on a design roll recently -- but the current Genesis is still using older, stilted design language. The front end (which has no logo on the grill) looks like a reinterpretation of a Mercedes, and the sides are bland.
