South Korean automaker Hyundai is recalling 27,500 units of its Genesis model due to a problem with the car’s brakes. Malfunctioning brakes already caused one driver to crash, as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration received 23 complaints from owners to date.
The recall includes Genesis models made between 2009 and 2012, reports KFOR-TV in Oklahoma City.
…. Hyundai officials say gel can build up on valves in the braking system, which causes them to fail. Car dealers will pick up the cars from customers’ homes and give those owners loaner vehicles.
