The Parents Television Council, a watchdog group that opposes negative messages targeted to children, is protesting that an ad for luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz objectifies women, reports the Today Show.
The PTC claims that the only thing clean about the commercial is the car. The ad, which has been viewed on You Tube more 3.5 million times in two days, features Kate Upton jiggling, as five teenage boys are ogling her. Three of the teens are washing the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA, and two other boys are standing nearby.
Update: Two hours ago, it was reported that the You Tube video was viewed “nearly 3 million times.” Viewings are up more than 17 percent in two hours. The ad also has nice music.
