Toyota’s upscale brand, Lexus, unveiled its new compact luxury sedan line, the Lexus IS 250, the IS 350, and the IS 300h, at the Detroit Auto Show.
The Lexus IS 250 and IS 350 versions and will be available by mid-2013 in the U.S. The hybrid version of the sedan, the IS 300h, will be available in the UK and Japan markets, but not in the USA.
The F SPORT variants of the IS sedans, which contain features from the LFA super sports car, will be offered in the 2014 models, according to a detailed report on the cars from Slash Gear.
Of course, serious drivers will be eyeing Lexus’ F SPORT variants, which will be offered across the 2014 IS range. In addition to changes in styling details both inside and out, the F SPORT models will get special suspension and steering tuning, and a Variable Gear Ratio Steering option on the IS 350 F SPORT specifically. 18-inch wheels of an exclusive design, and a sturdier gearbox round out the key changes.
