There are more than 35 brands vying for the attention of shoppers in Lima, Peru, for its luxury retail market, Peru This Week reports.
Premium brands are competing to capture the 8,000 luxury shoppers in Peru, according to Sandra Pizarro, a representative of the Center of High Fashion Studies. It isn’t just the top design houses pursuing the market. Local designers also in the loop in securing shelf space with major retailers.
So, who spends more on luxury—men or women?
Pizarro also mentioned that, contrary to popular belief, it is actually men who spend more in luxury stores than women, with an average bill running $900 for men and $500 for women, in part because women make more purchases monthly than men.
