Recently, we reported that cruise line Carnival Cruises took painstaking efforts to ensure that connectivity to the Internet was seamless for passengers on its new cruise ship, the Breeze. Another, cruise line Royal Caribbean also is boosting its digital capabilities. But is it money well spent by the cruise lines?
However, a study conducted by Bon Voyage, an online travel agency specializing in cruises, determined that more than 57 percent of 1,350 respondents interviewed stated that they would go on a tech-free cruise if available.
Eighteen percent said they would consider having gadgets and other high-tech items on board to be stressful. Additionally, 39 percent indicated they would prefer a break from their usual tech-filled environment.
