The Arizona Daily Sun reports that North Arizona University is offering students luxury housing to go with its hallow halls of education. Fifty upscale townhouses in four 10-story buildings have campus moral on an upswing.
The area is reminiscent of a luxury enclave than student housing. The tony campus community has a swimming pool, a beach volleyball court, and walking and hiking trails. The look is upscale, but the construction and painting are mid-level at best.
Several groups of young NAU students in bikinis lay next to an oversized pool in sun chairs, bathing themselves in the last rays of sunlight before the rainclouds reclaimed the last remaining patch of blue sky. A beach volleyball court with massive red officiating towers sits unused next door. Around the complex, students walk their dogs, skateboard and chat along the sidewalks.
